2. **Birth**: Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. According to one legend, Parvati created Ganesha from the dirt of her body to guard her while she bathed. Shiva, not knowing this, beheaded Ganesha in a fit of rage. To appease Parvati, Shiva resurrected Ganesha by replacing his head with that of an elephant.
3. **Symbolism**: Ganesha's elephant head symbolizes wisdom and the ability to overcome obstacles. His large ears signify a capacity to listen, and his small mouth indicates less speaking. The large belly represents the ability to digest all good and bad in life.

6. **Vehicle**: His vahana is a mouse , symbolizing humility and the ability to reach even the smallest nooks and corners, symbolizing that no desire or obstacle is too small for Ganesha to attend to.
